This story brings up an aspect of this hobby that's kind of inexplicable. I don't know what happened to Clench after this. Just as I don't know what happened to Gabby Marchetti and her identical pal robot. I'm not even sure what trauma in childhood left Jeremy Bane messed up the way he is.
You'd think the author could just decide and declare with no problem, but it's not like that (for me at least). When I try to write something that doesn't feel right, it simply will not form. And, many times, a character will seem to defy me and veer the plot off into a direction I wasn't planning.
